Unless you're using baby carrots, which one can leave as they are, peel and slice your carrots into 1/2-inch-thick pieces |

Place carrots in a large saucepan and cover with water. |

Boil until slightly tender, about 10 minutes. |

Drain and return to pan. |

Add remaining ingredients, mixing well. |
